CITY OF DEERFIELD BEACH –
The beautiful City of Deerfield Beach in Palm Beach County, FL has been developed since 1890 and was incorporated on 7/11/1925. It has a population of approximately 90,000 people. It was named for the numerous deer that once roamed the area. It is best known for the international fishing pier that stretches 1000 feet from shore.
There are many dedicated professional employees who provide effective, superior service to the residents of Deerfield Beach in a broad spectrum of ways. These employees are represented in a collective bargaining agreement by the Professional Managers and Supervisors Association (PMSA), affiliated with the Federation of Physicians and Dentists (FPD), NUHHCE, AFSCME, AFL-CIO. The Union bargains for employee wages, hours and terms and conditions of employment on behalf of Union members and works to keep their jobs and benefits secure.
Some of the areas that Union employees provide service to residents are, including but not limited to: Parks and Recreation, Grounds Maintenance, Waste Management, Transportation, Water Distribution, Infrastructure Maintenance, Facilities Management, Administration Support, Engineering Technology, Aquatics, CAAD Engineering, Fleet Management, Landscaping, Preschool Resources, and Health Support. LAKE WORTH BEACH –
Lake Worth Beach was first settled by Native American tribes in 1885. Samuel and Fannie Jones put Lake Worth Beach on the US map. Lake Worth Beach is known as the artsiest of Florida’s Palm Beaches. There is currently a population of approximately 40,000 people. Lake Worth Beach was officially named such in 2019.

RIVIERA BEACH –
The City of Riviera Beach is the eastern most municipality in the Miami Metro area, Palm Beach County. It was incorporated in 1922 and has an approximate population of 40,000 people.
There are many dedicated professional employees who provide effective, superior service to the residents of Riviera Beach in a broad spectrum of ways. These employees are represented in a collective bargaining agreement by the Professional Managers and Supervisors Association (PMSA), and the Public Employees Union (PEU) affiliated with the Federation of Physicians and Dentists (FPD), NUHHCE, AFSCME, AFL-CIO. The Union bargains for employee wages, hours and terms and conditions of employment on behalf of Union members and works to keep their jobs and benefits secure.
Some of the areas that Union employees provide service to residents are, including but not limited to: Public Safety, Public Works, Utilities, Aquatics, Communications Support, Water and Sewer Maintenance, Code Enforcement, Procurement, Property Maintenance, Streets and Grounds, Fleet Services, Public Records, and Police Records. CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH –
The City of West Palm Beach, approximate population of 120,000 – with its sunny palm-lined streets, scenic waterfront views, quaint shopping districts, historic neighborhoods, and year-round outdoor festivals is a slice of paradise. As the county seat of Palm Beach County and one of the fastest growing areas in the country the City of West Palm Beach offers a dynamic setting in which to live, work, play and enjoy all the attributes of South Florida Living. Our ethnically and culturally diverse community and workplace are the bedrock of our strength and resilience. The City of West Palm Beach was incorporated in 1894 and encompasses over 55 square miles. Among the City’s many attributes is an active and vibrant downtown and waterfront that serves to host a variety of nationally recognized cultural and leisure activities for residents and visitors.

PMSA CU1073 was certified 10-11-1994. PMSA has represented employees for the last 29 years and has bargained for many improvements for City employees. In the contract (2020 to 2023) on top of reclassification increase or promotional increases, employees received a 13% across the board pay increase. PMSA has filed grievances that yielded positive results such as step-up pay reinstatement when working above classification; has provided guidance to employees on dealing with difficult managers; has successfully represented employees that were under investigation; and has challenged the improper application of contract language among other successes.
Some of the areas that Union employees provide service to residents are, including but not limited to: support employees in the Police Department, Library, Engineering Services, Housing and Community Development, Public Utilities, IT, Mayors Office, Public Works, Parking, Parks and Recreation, Developmental Services, and the Fire Department.
